Empower Michigan Students with Essential Digital Literacy Skills

Help every K–12 student in Michigan navigate AI, social media, and online life with confidence—while building the computer science and digital literacy skills they’ll need for school and tomorrow’s workforce.

When technology moves fast, students need trusted guidance faster.

We partner with Michigan districts to teach healthy, responsible, and effective use of technology—without adding work to teachers’ plates.

Supporting Michigan's Digital Literacy Vision

Learning.com helps Michigan educators teach digital literacy and computer science skills aligned to MITECS and the Michigan K–12 Computer Science Standards. We turn guidance into classroom-ready practice—so students are safer online, more skillful with everyday tools, and better prepared for high school and beyond.

Learning.com provides:

  • Turnkey lessons for digital citizenship/online safety, keyboarding, productivity apps, coding, and age-appropriate AI
  • Practical professional development and coaching that fit limited teacher time
  • Secure SIS/SSO integrations, progress dashboards, and board-ready reporting
  • Support for local device-policy decisions (after the statewide bill’s failure), plus CIPA/E-rate-aware rollout

Digital Excellence for Michigan Schools

We understand that every Michigan school district has unique needs and funding situations. That's why we will work with you to ensure all students across the state can access world-class digital literacy education.

Important Update: Michigan State-Funded Access Has Changed

Recent state funding changes have impacted the Michigan State Program. This means that funds once used for this statewide initiative have been redirected to local districts. Many are choosing to continue using local funds supported by the increased foundation allowance, and we’re here to make that transition as smooth as possible.

Through our partnership with Learning.com, our goal is to ensure all students have the opportunity to acquire transferable digital literacy skills that will improve their success in school, college and career opportunities they may pursue in the future.

Bringing a systematic approach to digital literacy instruction for all Sault Ste. Marie students provides an opportunity to close the digital divide. We are excited to collaborate with Learning.com to promote digital literacy instruction in K-8 schools throughout Michigan.”
