Unlock Free Digital Skills Curriculum for North Carolina Students

Districts across North Carolina have the opportunity to participate in the statewide K-8 Digital Literacy program for the upcoming academic year. Thanks to the digital literacy initiative led by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, districts designated as Tier 1 and Tier 2 (economically distressed) can access this program at no cost.

Joining over 80 of your peers statewide, districts are leveraging Learning.com's EasyTech curriculum to enhance digital literacy and computer science skills among K-8 students. Our comprehensive curriculum covers essential areas such as online safety, digital citizenship, IT fundamentals, keyboarding, and more. Plus, many districts find our program invaluable in meeting CIPA compliance goals effectively.

How to Enroll

Learning.com is pleased to welcome you to North Carolina's K-8 Digital Literacy Program. To start the process of providing access to Learning.com's K-8 EasyTech curriculum, please fill out the NCDPI K-8 Digital Literacy Program application here. All applications must be in by May 3, 2024.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible to participate?
All Tier 1 and 2 districts and charters are encouraged to register to participate. The program is available for the 2024-2025 school year for schools serving students in grades K-8.

Is there a cost to participate?
The North Carolina K-8 Digital Literacy Initiative provides the opportunity for all districts and charters residing in Tier 1 and 2 counties to participate free of cost. 

What does the training and implementation look like?
Learning.com will collaborate with each participating district to create a training and implementation plan that best fits the needs of its educators and students. Access to the Learning.com solution will be made available before the start of the 2024-2025 school year. Learning.com will work to optimize the implementation of the specific instructional objectives and strategy of each participating district.

How will this help me meet CIPA compliance for E-rate funding? 

The Learning.com curriculum helps school districts meet the instructional component of the CIPA requirement by educating students in the areas of online safety and cyberbullying.
